A player is entitled to do anything he likes with the ball within the rules. Would the reaction have been the same if he'd taken the ball into the corner and shielded it, then got clattered? I thought Johnson was very lucky not to be shown red.
Reminded me of a certain Mr Pintado and Mr Savage.

Massively different to Pintado. This was barely more than a trip, while Pintado launched himself at Savage and could have seriously injured him. But sadly missed the target, which shouldn't really have been a massive surprise with Gorka...

It's all about perspective though. If Richarlison had done that against us, then we'd all be cheering our player that fouled him (as long as it didn't lead to a second yellow like Ben) and if Richarlison did that while playing for us, we'd all love it.

Phil's right as well. All this talk about such a minor incident conveniently moves the conversation away from real issues that the football authorities would rather us not concentrate on, like Richarlison's constant diving and feigning injury that they do nothing about.

Dunno what people are complaining about, he clearly got the ball!
