Pederson and Ashby is interesting especially with us also having signed Key.

Pederson is a left back by trade as I understand it, perhaps we plan to put him on left side of the back three and utilise Key and Ashby as wing backs (with Abdulai as substitution cover). That would mean one of Wood, Cabango or Darling losing out but ultimately if we are playing a back three plus wing backs we need at least four central defenders anyway in the squad.
