Sir Sadiq Khan

Muggings have happened since day dot in London. The fact that it's more densely populated means that by dint of simple mathematics, bad stuff is going to happen

And to back what Lisa said, it's far less of a crack den now than it was 20 years ago
It is honestly getting a bit tedious to read about what London is like from people that live 200 miles away and come up occasionally.

That’s classy Darran fair play.

Using an appalling incident that’s just happened where two people were murdered earlier today and about which there are no details at the moment into your agenda against Khan. Someone you know absolutely nothing about.

A bit of reflection wouldn’t go amiss because that is genuinely sick.
Well of course it is if you’re that way inclined.

Just saw a post on Twits, showing the crime rate is rising in Clacton and is higher than that there London.

Why aren’t the right wing loons highlighting that I wonder.

Spent a day working in Croydon yesterday also catching up with old friends. It was sad to see economically what is happening there which is a national issue with boarded up shops, unkempt roads and graffiti everywhere with lots of bored kids everywhere. It did remind me of the Brynmelyn thread where there are areas of Croydon which are no go areas especially after dark. The bankrupt Council doing their best to bring transformation. We live in a very broken world.

It sounds like a right dump.

The decline of a once great city, that being an inhabitant of, once came with bragging rights. Talk about style cramping to say that you're from there nowadays. Ditto Paris and other places. London's reputation stinks, and to say that it doesn't have one, is cloud cuckoo land stuff.

Ever read the papers folks?

And why do all the London based county lines gangs arrested in Swansea always seem to come from Tottenham? Competitive business nowadays having to compete with the Albanians, Kurds and Vietnamize that arrived by small boat. "Say it loud say it clear underclass infestation is welcome here".

Crazy to think that years back when thinking of London positive stuff sprang to mind. Nowadays it is knife crime, drugs gangs, muggings, Romanian pick-pockets on the tube etc.

I have got a relative living in (originally from near-by Neasden) Wembley and he stays put and does not venture "outside" of that locality, because that borough is bad enough let alone "the city".

Ditto the rest of his family (the entire lot!!!) that left places like Bow and Neasden to go to the new "East End" i.e. Essex where many bygone working class West Ham United North Bank and South Bank regulars seem to have relocated.

May I suggest that Anthrax Island off Scotland, Chernobyl and the Belize Jungle MAY have a slightly worse 'hospitality' vibe?

And onto idiots who smear people as bigots and racists, because they have the common sense and grasp of reality to criticise London's crackpot mayor, whilst being too thick to realise that 'looney-lefties' black, brown and white have always been criticised anyhow. Not exactly a new trend, hey?

Have they not ever heard of Ken Livingstone who used to relentlessly appear in the tabloids with obvious targets on his back.

I lived in Peckham, Lewisham and Herne Hill in the early 80s and if anyone thinks it’s worse now, they are living in cloud cuckoo land. I’ve also lived in Edinburgh, and the bad parts there (and there are a lot of them) make London look like a kindergarten.

My outsider’s view on Khan is he has his faults but he’s 10 times the man and Mayor that Johnson was. As Lisa says though, the only view that matters is that of Londoners that, to the foot stamping of all regional racists, keep voting him overwhelmingly back in.

Oh and I went to London recently and didn’t get mugged, attacked or assaulted.

A couple of hundred yards from my house a 90 odd year old man got stabbed in the middle of the day a couple of weeks ago.

Just saying, as they say.

Yeah but YouTube videos, and right wing Twitter accounts say different mun. It doesn’t matter if they’ve never been there or don’t go there, that’s just small details that can be overlooked.

Stop being such a wokey! Get out there and shout at clouds and made up stories, that’s what all the cool customers are doing 😎

Talking of cloud cuckoo land, anyone dull enough to label Sadiq Khan a 'looney-leftie' can be safely ignored as the useful idiot they clearly are.

He was 89 but don’t let Lisa find out it was his daughter with a severe learning disability with the mental age of a child or she might call you sick.

Why would I do that?

The fact you can’t see the difference between your post yesterday and the post NJ made is the problem.
