Sir Sadiq Khan

I should say btw that ULEZ has been the single most effective thing that has been introduced here.

The air quality is genuinely fine now. It used to be shockingly bad. The summer used to see a smog of pollution hanging over us. No more. If that means a tiny number of people that have shitty old cars pumping out pollutants need to pay a bit more then that’s great.

The biggest downside to London that I’ve experienced is that it’s lost its character as it’s become a truly global city.

ULEZ is nothing to do with shitty old cars, there are many cars are compliant which he still fines. The emissions criteria ULEZ claims is not the same as vehicle manufacturers. I got fined 3 times but I appealed and won because my car was compliant.

‘ he fines’?

Yeah, he’s standing there issuing the fines himself.

And you can always rely on vehicle manufacturers figures. after all.

lol.

BTW - it was Boris Johnson that introduced ULEZ. The best thing he ever did.

And glitches aside, the policy is absolutely brilliant. Keep the polluting cars away from us.

The reason it's cleaner is because the big take up of electric cars across bus, train and cab fleets.. maybe he takes credit for that although a lot of health issues stem from the tube which he conveniently never mentions.

Absolute bollox.

I spend 7 days a week in London and have done for 37 years.

It’s so much safer than it used to be it’s laughable that he gets slated for it.
The bad news always travels further and quicker than the good news; it’s the way of the modern world.

Every conceivable way.. rampant street crime, huge increase in knife crime, TRL is on its knees, Police have no control, Bakerloo line and Northern line needs upgrading, robbing residents now charging through the Blackwell Tunnel and ULEZ. Yes I do spend 3 days a week and experience all this crap he has created.

Just puzzled how he gets knighted for services to what exactly ?
What is TRL?

Been there. Interesting place. I think Ringwood probably meant TfL though. TRL is now to do with the Mayor of London.

Never been, which is a bit weird as we use some of their publications from time to time, as part of our design process.

TFL fund projects for TRL to deliver mostly transport projects for London, they also use TRL for highway infrastructure project management. Sadly the funding to TRL has been hit massively.

We went up to London to see Peter Kay at the O2 stayed at Waterloo won't be going back there or London anytime soon, not fussed on seeing Peter Kay again anytime soon either :ROFLMAO:

We saw him last weekend in Birmingham. Very lazy show. Nowhere near as good as he was when he last toured.
