Mens downhill from Austria, how is it possible to go so fast on two planks of wood, mental, but worth a watch.

Not watched Ski Sunday regularly for thirty odd years. Back then it was the only thing worth viewing at that time of day, and a tea of sarnie and crisps in front of the TV.

I will never forget Konrad Bartelski getting a 2nd place in a downhill race in th early 80s. British Skiers were/are notoriously unsuccesful. You used to see the odd top 10 finish and then here this guy, who has never done anything, almost winning a race. Val Gardena. Martin Bell was the other Brit who was semi good.

Aye Britain hasn't been blessed with top notch male skiers tbf. Rydings arguably the best of the lot tbf, but he's 39 now, so not sure how long he'll be around, probably retire after the next winter Olympics.

I hadnt heard of him. Seems he actually won a race. Yikes.

The theme tune is iconic, and I remember the great David Vine presenting in the 80s...and back in those days we actually used to get snow every winter in the Swansea area..! I remember getting a week off school in Jan/Feb 1982, in the 'Big Snow'.

Eddie the Eagle was a top notch Ski jumper and a Brit .

Tried watching the film on a few occasions but it never grabbed me ,will try again at a later date again to view .

Caught a bit of Ski Sunday over the weekend , and they really fly down them slopes at speed .
Good luck to them competing in that event , Slalom I believe it was called .

A broken leg or even worse must be a threat or maybe they are adrenoline pumped .

Used to love skiing used to go virtually every year, Levi is good a nice compact Ski resort decent runs and the world cup black run, never did a black run, managed a few red run's, but Black runs were above my skill set.
Borovets was the place where it all started for us, a days skiing is knackering and you sleep well after it
