Respectfully disagree. I think Inoussa is a big upgrade on Eom’s, Widdell on Cullen and Stamenic on Fulton. Casey is an excellent loan CD as is Ishe Samuel’s at LB. Benson is the only real flop

Maybe I'm being too harsh, but Benson for all the praise he got and what he has done in the past has shown me little to why he deserves any place in the squad. I would be looking to return him in January and getting a different loan in. He looks clueless.

Exactly the same as the first half of last season under Williams, we didn't lose by more than 1 goal until the Pompey game in January

The collapse was pretty spectacular. At this point last season we hadn't conceded more than a single goal in any game. And then January came and we conceded 4 at Portsmouth, 3 at Cardiff & 5 at Norwich, as well as another 3 at Southampton in the cup.

I found that hard to believe but it's actually true. We started with 0 wins in our first 7 games, had a run of four wins in a row, and then another run of 1 win in 7 games.

Still early days for Benson, not enough minutes so far my liking to judge. Players need a good run of games, not five minutes in bits and bobs.

Benson might not work out but I can absolutely see why we took a punt on him. He's shown he's got the ability in the past.
Whether it's lack of fitness and/or confidence he's been poor so far

I like to think we’ll see the best of Benson in the second half of the season. Fitness an issue after two nasty injuries. Was only ever a super sub for Burnley in that promotion season anyway. Definitely worth having him in the squad on his left foot alone though.

On target = 5
Touches in opposition box = 32

Last 2 games (both away)
Shots =29
On target = 7
Touches in opposition box = 47

I'm not sure weather Sheehan has accidentally come across 5 at the back (I was bored shirtless with his football up until the City game) but I'm happy atm to give him some more time to try and figure out the best team for this formation.

I think stats can be misleading because we have been chasing the game in the last two away games. I can guarantee if both games had been 0-0 deep in the second half the shots tally would be a lot lower.

Hopefully we can keep the momentum going (even when not chasing games) today . I do know that my eyeballs are much happier since the City game.

I can only go by the last 2 games Michu (both away), since going to 5 at the back. Hoping for an improvement from the 2 home games before City.
