Southampton

It's going to cost Southampton a lot of money to pay off Russ and his gang!! 😂

Let's be honest, he made hard work of getting them promoted with the squad he had at his disposal, and then they gave him a 3 year contract. Clubs don't help themselves sometimes. They conceded a few suicidal goals in the championship last season, it was inevitable, with the quality on offer in the Premier league, they were going to concede far more this year continually trying to play keep ball in defence.

They don't help themselves at all.

Southampton had one of the biggest budgets and strongest squads in the championship last season. I reckon the majority of us on here would have won promotion in charge of that side.

Football must be the only industry where failure is constantly rewarded.

My favourite routine was when the keeper moved out of the penalty area for the full back to pass it to him for the keeper then to pass it back to the full back.
Yes the man was a genius.
Confuse the opposition and of course the fans. Some loved it I bet.
If he gets sacked before our game it will reduce our travelling support who want to catch that one last glimpse of their former Idol.

Probably one of the worse managers we've had yet some hold him in such high regard. That's after winning something like one game in twenty odd.

His ability to throw away leads in the dying minutes of games is some trick.

He won’t be in charge by the time we go down there. They might not stay up as their form to date has been abysmal, but any new manager is surely capable of shoring them up, and that will screw us.

He's been horribly exposed by the Premier League spotlight. You can get away with his nonsense to a degree at the lower levels because less attention is paid to it and alternative narratives can be spun, especially by a docile media eager to build a manager up as the next big thing. He should have been laughed out of the place the instant he claimed that he hadn't been backed here. Instead people gave credence to it.

When your team has conceded nine goals from completely avoidable mistakes in just fourteen games, all of which can be easily viewed, retweeted and laughed at online, it's much harder to blame something else. Everyone can see now how flawed the "process" is.

It's incredible reading through here that despite him leaving over a year ago how he has got in so many posters heads 😁

He's no longer our manager but the draw I believe favours us given he is our ex boss and the reason I believe we will win if he is still in charge.......its the FA Cup and these things are written in the stars.

He's gone lads, what he does shouldn't really bother you as much as it does except when he is in the opposite dugout against us.

Keep him until our game please Soton and we will use the final dagger on him.

Whose head has he got in exactly?

The majority of people on this thread are calling him for the bang average manager he always has been.

Some random broadcaster will pick up our game somewhere around the globe; as long as you have IPTV, you'll be fine.

It's not exactly a gripping tie in prospect for anyone outside Swansea and Southampton.
