I have sympathy for the girls who have ended relationship with some of you over the years given the reaction some of you are showing over a man in his 30s who once managed our club.

Regardless of what you think about Martinez after he left us, he's probably the single most important figure at the club in the last 25 years. The way he transformed the entire culture of the club after Kenny Jackett was astounding. He thought big and he produced probably the best team to watch that most of us have ever seen. Without his vision we'd have never got to the PL. Yes he was a dick the way he left but it doesn't detract from the job he did here.

It's insane, the levels of disrespect being shown to him here.

He tarnished his legacy at the club with all that nonsense about being forced out as player to then jump ship at the earliest opportunity to Wigan.

Since his days at Everton his record is pretty mediocre.

Did he show any respect for the club when he left. He would have taken everything with him that wasn't nailed down. Of course we are all appreciative of what he started here, but i don't think he would have taken us to the Premier league. Is he as good a manager as he believes, NO . Marc Wilmots had the 'golden generation' before Martinez and did no better than quarter finals in two tournaments (including getting spanked by little old Wales in 2016). Martinez certainly flopped at the end, but also delivered their best ever World Cup performance (third in 2018).
