• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

We had a spate of them a few years back, Ferrie Bodde, Marcos Painter and I think the 3rd one was a left back we had on loan, maybe Leon Hylton? Some people recover ok while other are never quite the same again, FB being a good example of the latter. Really hope Jordan's is not as bad and he makes a full recovery. So unlucky for the lad.

O'Halloran from Villa?
He done it before he was with us aswell didn't know that!

Yeah, that was the guy not Hylton, it was the Villa link that threw me, thanks for the correction Josh.

I just remember being pissed off because he was signed as cover (maybe an emergency loan) and he got injured.

From memory Leon Hylton got clattered at Aggborough by Bo Henriksen, I was at the game with my old boss ManseltonJack must have been close to 20 years ago so lord only knows how I can remember that. Hylton left the pitch and once he recovered from the injurt came on in a Cup game against Wolves??? That would certainly have been the Vetch Field days. O'Halloran was at the Liberty. Both were Villa players & I think you cleared all that up anyway... :D

That was a while ago Dan!
Hylton came on against Preston in the FA Cup- the round before we lost to Tranmere.
Wasn't Kidderminster the game with the 'what a load of rubble' chant? 😁
I still remember the fanzine with a drawing of Hylton in bits in a wheelbarrow, they reckoned he was broken up for spare parts!

Anyone know when we might hear about the extent of his injury?

Cooper doing his press conference at 2 pm. Should know a bit more then.

Gutted for the boy. Hope he gets well soon. Not signing a number 9 in January was a mistake imo.
