Squad

Agree with the above, just hope ‘we’ don’t get too impatient if things don’t click immediately. Introducing half a new starting XI and likely another 5+ new players on the bench each week is going to take time to gel on a regular basis.

Not trying to dampen expectations but there needs to be some realism as well especially with the Championship looking like it could be incredibly open this season (hopefully that’s a positive though).

It's a solid squad for sure with good options in attacking positions.

I personally believe it feels better due to the absolute trash we have been served up in the last God knows how many transfer windows.
The summer of 23 being the absolute highlight of disaster with Watson leading the charge.

I really hope there is some money coming in from commercial or other avenues because we have certainly spent more than expected and that even if it's spread over a few years....without financial incomings then it's a huge gamble and I mean huge!

The pressure has certainly cranked up a bit for Sheehan.....there will be an expectancy.

You wanted all these players, you’ve now got them. Pointless worrying about the finances after the fact. It’s suck it up time now.

Oh, being told by someone else what I wanted.....always love that.

Guess it's on me if it goes tits up financially then 😂

Every silver lining has a cloud…got to keep a lot of very good players happy now.
Going to be challenging and push Sheehan and co at times.

You now have Liam Cullen, last season's too scorer and fresh after signing a new contract currently 3rd choice striker behind our in form Vipotnik and new signing Idah.
4 wingers fighting for 2 spots.
4 good midfielders fighting for 3 starting spots.

Going to be interesting.

Well we don’t know what last years finances were and we won’t know this years finances for 2 years. But we do know that a we’ve lost some hefty wage bills. The owners have spoken about big commercial plans, and they’ve proved that they mean business. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. We’ve spent a lot of money yes, but we’ve got a huge potential of saleable assets for the future.

5 good midfielders: Galbraith, Stamenic, Widell, Yalcouye, Franco
1 filler: Fulton

We have a lot more possible options with future profits with sales so the odds will decrease for sure.
It's a gamble, hedging our bets a bit more with younger players but still a gamble if that is the path we are looking to go down.

I am still hoping there is something in the pipeline from the owners though in regards to revenue.
In the meantime, I hope that fans who have been missing for the last few years start returning, this transfer window should be the thing that gives them a push.

I’m sure we’d all rather have the potential selection headache instead of a paper thin squad that lacked any quality in depth.
Plenty of games to be played so hopefully everyone will get an opportunity at some point….still it’s going to be a real juggling act worthy of a place on BGT
