Matched Brendan's 2010-11 points total,

How the Mary mother of God did he do that

Discuss, it's impending doom in the play offs surely

Objectively, he’s probably, given the resources at his disposal, doing an excellent job. But watching the Swans is tortuous. I wonder if this importation of ‘ambition’ into the minds of fans and club authorities is a good thing. To me ‘ambition’ is what an employer gets you, so you run around like a blue arsed fly making them more money.

Recent form won't matter in the play offs, there isn't much difference between the four teams , the rest is down to luck and mental attitude to pressure

We have a significant chance, given how we spawn games from nowhere, to be probably the worst team ever promoted.

If we can play like we did at Millwall, with a Routledge, Lowe, Ayew forward axis, maybe even look half tidy doing it. Trouble is there’s no room for Roberts in that formation.

You can argue how terrible it is to watch all you like, and it is fucking grim most of the time, but you can’t really dispute the results and outcomes.

 Go on then.

The cliché will tell us that it’s a results driven business and in this respect we have equalled the points total of the last promotion season. Points in the bag over entertainment value? Yes, every time.

Standard has dropped year by year in the Championship, that's all really...

I think this is very true. I watched MOTD this morning and was struck by the quality of the football, even teams like Villa are STREETS ahead of the Championship teams. Well us, anyway.

Going to have to disagree with you there, if I had to watch a repeat of any of the last 5 seasons it would be Potter's, even though result's wise he was not the best.

I think we look back at Potter's tenure with the last 6 weeks home matches at the front of our minds.

We lost 7 away games in a row around Feb-Apr under him that season too, by some pretty big scorelines too.

There's definitely a bit of a rosy tint to the Potter era with most. I think what generates it is the idea that we were building towards something. Progressing as a club in the direction most people wanted to go, even if the results weren't quite there yet.

With Cooper there's no real sense that we're building towards anything. Just grinding out points in the most boring way possible. That's hard to get all misty eyed about.
