What is the long term plan for using these hotels as hostels? Will it ever go back to being a hotel or is that if now? A clear plan for the future needs to be devised as I’m not against helping migrants, immigrants and asylum seekers but this seems non-sustainable and short sighted. You’ve now got potentially 75 local people in to the benefits system (unlikely I know) plus however many new arrivals that need support, and the only cash generated is going in to the pockets of some clandestine ownership group. The whole thing is very odd.

These individuals will be tagged as "asylum seekers", but more likely they will more along the likes of economic migrants. Will be interesting to see the demographic of those being placed there. My guess is it won't be legit families with kids, but more likely mainly men aged between 16 and 35 like we have seen elsewhere. They'll have nothing to do either so will be dossing about on streets

The parent company love one star reviews.

And they’d probably lose. At great expense, as you alluded to.

Or where their Tory MP has sway, as I've seen up 'ere

Dew dew, state of some of these replies. Again.

The UK caused this problem, the Tory scumbags poured, and keep poring petrol on the fire. And some of you lot drink it all up, every last drop.

Examples?

Use the quote function, it will help you not to look like a sanctimonious tw@t posting glib comments from up there on your high horse, again.

Well blaming Drakeford for something that isn't a developed issue is a start. All goes back to Theresa May's stint as home secretary: it was cheaper to keep people here on the sausage roll than to fully staff border force. Of course the Mail, Express and crank central (Telegraph) don't deal in the truth anymore

ECB corrected the Drakeford accusations within four posts of the first page. NJ needs to explain why he’s trying to tarnish this thread as an immigrant thread with no foundation.

NJ doesn’t need to do anything other than voice one’s own opinion. If you don’t like it, other opinions are available.

I'd cite posts from Skippy, Saint and Allergic as examples m'lud.

As usual you didn’t voice an opinion, just the usual sneering at others. I shouldn’t have reacted, apologies.

Just to reiterate this point, about 4 years ago I spoke to the former head of the border police force, he's Welsh, the majority of illegal asylum seekers were males between 20-40 age bracket, and that was 4 years ago.. he's not in charge anymore, but it speaks volumes

I know that, just reinforcing the point that this is a choice made when May was Home Secretary. If the masses knew the crap they were being fed then the likes of Harry Cole, Dacre and co would be chased out of the country. They're the true poison that are damaging our country
