• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Hi
I'm considering treating myself and a very good mate to hospitality for the Sunderland game.
I haven't used Swans hospitality before so was wondering what to expect.
Is there anyone here who uses hospitality in the 1912 Lounge who wants to share their opinions?
Thanks in advance

I did hospitality last season for the Cardiff match. I booked the ‘81 club as there weren’t many options available.

I will say that while all the hospitality booking staff were extremely friendly, there was a definite lack of urgency to get my booking secured. It took many weeks for them to just take my money and get me booked. Knowing the financial situation at the club, I was shocked that they weren’t chomping at the bit to get my ~£200 I was holding out waiting for them to take.

Once I was booked, everything was terrific. This was my only time doing hospitality at the Liberty and the food, drink and staff were all excellent. Wyndham Evans was the host and he was terrific.

As I typically sit in the East Stand (usually towards the away end) the seating in the Southwest corner was different but the view and atmosphere were still terrific. That said, it was a Cardiff match and we destroyed them so that should be expected.

Would I do it again? Under the right circumstances I definitely would. The match experience is just different from what we’re normally used to. I’d not want to do it regularly (regardless of cost) but as a one-off treat I’d say go for it.

I’m no expert but let me know if you have any questions.
