• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Ref blew all night for some soft challenges. We were unlucky overall as Rovers ( not inc pen ) scored with their only 2 chances.. If Callum Jones isn't playing first team football for us within the next 3 seasons then my names not BlackpoolJack.

Does he have 11 on his shirt?

I did notice in during my limited time watching the game that the referee seemed to be quite whistle happy when it came to decisions in favour of the opposition side.

I didn’t catch the second goal but I wouldn’t be in the least bit surprised to learn that it came from a set piece courtesy of a free kick.

I thought he looked he might be a decent player in a little while. Not short on confidence taking on the opposition. 🤞

No , a long ball over the top well finished by their centre forward .
Some in the ground think it was offside .
Second half they deserved to win .

Good to see the boys last ,
We played pretty well first half without creating any clear cut chances .
We had a goal chalked off for offside .
Callum Jones with Carter Heywood gave them problems down the left side .

Callum Jones looks a talented lad good pace control likes to attack the fullback .
We did struggle through the centre to have sustained pressure .
To concede right on half time was a blow .

Second half we thought we equalised only to see the goal chalked off for a foul on their keeper .
After that Blackburn were by far the better side .
Ref gave them a really soft penalty for a challenge just inside the box .
Thomas Wright made a brilliant save .
The Blackburn centre forward Valentin Joseph who wasn't so good first half came out like a different player big strong held the ball up to bring in other runners ,
Joseph ran onto a long ball to score the second .

For me Callum Jones did well , Carter Heywood , Brogram Popham , Kai Rhodes did OK.

Blackburn were the better side some of their passing movement was very good particularly the interplay down their right .

A good night out with a reasonable crowd
So pleasing to see lots of enthusiastic youngsters there .
