Anyone looking from the FA will see him as a manager who won the U-17 World Cup with England and in his first club management role got his team into the playoffs in his first season, while he has them in 3rd place in his second season. They'd also see him doing that while giving lots of young players their first real taste of first-team football.

It'd be more surprising if England didn't at least take a good long look at him. He's already done more in management than Aidy Boothroyd has done in his whole career after all.
