Swansea City confirm Luke Williams appointment

Okey doke.

I'll be watching closely to see your reaction when the first goal kick goes wrong (actually I won't, because I already know what it'll be).

I'm just pleased that Coleman has had the good grace to admit his mistake last summer and do a 180 on it. That's the first good decision he's made since walking in through the door. Long may it continue.

I appreciate Williams coming in makes it a difficult couple of days for you and others. I won't rub it in any further.

Why would it be a difficult couple of days for me or anyone else on here? All I know about Williams is that his Notts County team prioritised attack over possession-for-its-own-sake, so in that sense his approach is likely to be a build on what Duff and Sheehan said they were trying to do. Some of the attack-minded passing we've seen this season has been wonderful at times - far more entertaining than most of what we saw for the past few seasons (derbies aside). Let's hope we see more of that.

You seem to think he's some sort of apostle of RM. While there's obvious mutual respect there, Williams left Martin's Magical Ego Tour when he saw it was going nowhere. I respect him for that.

You said you would rather pour bleach in your eyes than watch Cooper's football and called Duff an arsehole without ever meeting him. I presume that last one is a safe bet because you proudly boast about how you haven't paid to see the Swans play at the Liberty in years.

Back the manager and stop pouring vitriol on the ones that don't fit your agenda.

I must be living in a parallel universe to your last comment, because I thought it was fairly obvious that I'm right behind this manager. Can you not read?

Williams left for off field reasons that were nothing to do with RM, but then, I suspect you know that, you're just trying to spin a yarn as usual. You like making things up.

As for your plastic fan digs, crack on with those as much as you want, surely by now you can fathom that it doesn't bother me. My reasons for that are well documented. I find that line of attack nothing other than hilarious.

As for Duff, you appear to be the only person in the entire world who didn't think he was a dickhead, I mean he only had to open his mouth to confirm that for goodness sake. The fact that when he went, not a single member of the first team squad went out of their way to publicly thank him (apart from Paterson, possibly?) tells you all you need to know surely.

You know Cadleigh, it really is highly amusing how much my posts trigger you. The best thing is, I'm on record as saying that Martin was comfortably the least impressive of our first three managers after relegation, but your obsession with him knows no bounds, if people won't join you in your out and out pathological hatred of him, it will never be enough for you. It's absolutely comical, you're making yourself a laughing stock, maybe just wind your neck in for once and quit while you're behind. Dear me.

How does the fact that Chris Davies was their first choice for new manager work with your 'do a 180' theory? Surely it's just that Luke Williams was the 2nd choice of the club and the fact he was here for a short period with Martin has nothing to do with it?

Well the fact that Williams has brought in his own staff puts the theory that Davies didn't come here for that reason to bed.

He fucked us around in the summer and wouldn't be surprised if he did the same here

First of all, reasonably happy with the appointment of Williams, first impressions are good.
Going back to the Chris Davies debacle, I might be wrong, but didn't the deal fall through because we were unwilling for him to bring in his choice of backroom staff?. As far as I'm aware Luke Williams has brought his backroom staff in alongside him.
Did Davies's choice of staff come in too expensive for us, was Davies unwilling to work with Sheehan as part of his team...
Just throwing something out there.

For someone who isn't bothered about being called out as a plastic fan, you certainly get defensive when its pointed out

Interesting point about 'the first goal kick going wrong'. What's the relevance of that? Are you expecting Williams to tell Rushworth to pass it short to the CBs under all circumstances? I haven't followed Notts County so I have no idea if that's what they do. I know they score a lot but also I believe let a fair few in. As long as he doesn't bring Fisher back instead of Rushworth!

Yep, or did he fuck us about (again) like he did in the summer...

I thought the general consensus was that Davies was in talks with us, realised we didn't have a pot to piss in and he was better off staying in the PL? I imagine people are correct that his chosen staff would be considerably more expensive than Ryan Harley and he probably wanted guarantees he'd have money to spend in January.

For Williams, he already has some experience of the owners and the club's financial situation, plus being at a cash-strapped Championship team is still a major upgrade on League 2.

I'm not really bothered other than wanting Williams to be successful because he's managing my club, just wanted to point out his appointment isn't the owners realising they were wrong about RM and 'doing a 180'.

You absolutely must be living in some parallel underworld. Cadleigh is right. Which is why you get so many things so very wrong, always.

Try being not so highly strung, take a breath and think before you bash your keyboard. Most esp about your Man-crush-Martin.

Your Martin-Pato assertions are so completely, dangerously irresponsibly wide of the mark, ya knob. The true facts are by all accounts, allegedly:
- RM lied to JP - told him he’d ’sorted a new deal’ with the Exec
- JP finds out through his agent that RM lied, no deal agreed, or even discussed
- JP, let down by his manager, broken relationship, can’t train
- all trust lost btn JP-RM-Exec-RM
- RM lies again to JP that Club wants to sell him, last Jan. not true.
- final nail in RM’s coffin

Plenty more Martin menace yet to come out. The Martin-Darling chapter says it all about Martin. And plenty more besides. By all accounts, allegedly.

Yet some unthinking types like you still pine for Martin. Ya knob.

Facts can’t be alleged Andy mun. They’re facts. Not arguable if they really are factual. Conjecture is alleged. Just saying.

It’s the way of the world nowadays Mike. It’s all about ar*e covering.

Them others - it’s all Smoke n Mirrors. And made-up menacing word salads by the not so ITKs desperate for attention.
