I suppose going to a team nearer the top might seem the easier option but if they don’t go up he might be scapegoated.

Nothing against the guy, but I do wonder is getting a Championship club just a short stepping stone for him to the Premier League. His decision will be based on who is best placed to get him there.

I think that's the case for most managers and players. I have no issur with this and he is in his right to choose a club that works for him and his family financially. I do wonder though if it's just the money driving him or he saw more vision in where they are going? If he gets the Boro job, I mean I'll become that bitter football fan 😂😂
