My takeaways from the highlights now that I've had the chance to watch several key points a couple of times.
Vipotnik being caught offside to disallow Galbraith's goal in the first half was criminal. He had a full three or four seconds to make up just two yards of ground. Absolutely no excuse for that as he was just ball watching, not convinced the keeper could have saved it if he wasn't unsighted it was right in the bottom corner.
The red card was every bit as bad seeing it again as in real time, high on Franco's trailing leg at the knee. The trailing leg is usually the one planted on the turf in that kind of tackle and it had a real risk of being a genuine injury. Fully deserved red
Congreve needs to do a lot of work on his positional awareness. He was horribly out of position for the Crawley goal and in trying to bust his butt to get goalside he oversold himself making it easy for the player to cut inside into a dangerous area. Can't lay much blame with Arthur Parker, he was damned if he moved to close down the player who crossed it for the goal and damned if he didn't. By closing him down it meant Burgess had to try to mark two in the middle on the goal and he successfully blocked off one but couldn't stop them both. Add that to his utterly daft offside when there was an easy ball in the 95th minute when all he had to do was not run into the opponent's half until Eom released the ball and it tells me he either needs to work a lot on his awareness or to get his adrenaline under control.
Galbraith was at the heart of everything good we did, his long shots were all dangerous, one was narrowly wide, one was a disallowed goal and another was an excellent finish to make it 3-1. He is young and mistakes will happen but I think he is going to be the real deal
Much the same can be said about Inoussa, his partnership and understanding with Tymon was superb. The two regularly offered overloads and runs down the channels, his delivery was good and he should have had an assist if Ronald hadn't shanked the cross with his right foot instead of guiding it in with his left.
