From the LG factory to films studios in Bridgend , how often are things proposed that never happen, if some private company have billions to spend that's fine, do it, just don't expect public money

The kings and queens docks are the biggest two, they will be developed, if its through this proposal remains to be seen

All very nice, I'm a bit sceptical about all this tbh. The need to improve our transport links will be key to the success of any large scale development such as this, including the elephant in the room, the Brynglas bypass scheme, including upgraded rail links.
In this climate £1.7 billion is a whole heap of cash. All I will say is that if and when this scheme is delivered there will be lots of money to be made by a lot of high profile folk, and that's before a spade is put in the ground. The benefits to the local economy and local people in the long term will only be seen if the planned scheme is a total success. I'm not so sure, more detail needs to be forthcoming. At the moment it's pie in the sky.

I had some discussions with TLP last time around in SA1 and Gloucester, and was disappointed it didn't get the green light from Theresa May, despite the Henry report recommendations. I always felt it needed a big civil/engineering company at the helm. Hopefully it will go ahead - Swansea needs and will benefit from this imo.

Down towards to the bottom of the feature is a mention of plans for accommodation for up to 5,000 people, so there is going to be a lot of money to be made in this scheme.

This would be incredible for the City, especially if we can pull this off without any Westminster support.

If it does make it happen then the ‘Wales wouldn’t survive on its own’ anti-independence voices will have to quieten down.

Wales’ future should be built on our natural renewable resources - it’s the future… and the sooner we’re a world leader in it… the better.

Let England come grovelling to us for our water and energy when we’re independent.
