He's clearly not going down the green route, my gut feeling is he will be going for hydrogen tech too. My post was mainly targeted at the wider implications, but I'm guessing and you would know that the motor industry in the US is huge and how much cash it generates for their economy.
The US CO2 per capita trend has been on a steep downward path for some time. I don’t know enough about their non automotive green initiatives to guess whether this will be maintained. But without a doubt, part of his MAGA plan involves re-establishing the heartlands of the US motor industry.

I previously mentioned shorting of positions by the infamous Michael Burry who loves to make money from a stock market crash. Well here is a news item bellow that followed just that.

It'll be interesting what Warren Buffet will say at his yearly/April Berkshire Hathaway annual meeting, which always gets uploaded to YouTube.

I think the worlds most experienced (he's 94, he's seen it all!) and successful stock market billionaire, investor and expert is guaranteed to be asked questions on the tariff situation during this event that has an open mic questioning session from its shareholders/investors for Mr Buffett to answer.

One thing that is for certain in this tariff war, neither Trump not his maga morons understand tariffs and who pays what.

The posts from people like the governor of Texas are hilarious. They have it back to front in terms of impact. They also don’t understand world commodity trading. I mean, I know you have to be an idiot to vote for Trump but these people have the economic understanding of a potato.

Their heads are mashed.
Sorry that's all I've got.🙄

It is clear that the members of this forum from the Greater Swansea area, some who now live elsewhere, have a greater understanding of the impact of Tariffs than some world leaders!

The comments and 'analysis' I've seen is genuinely unhinged in its ignorance, and God knows I find economics a complete mystery and turn off, but had to do at least a basic course.

They seem to think Canada have imposed tariffs on the stuff the US buys from Canada and vice versa. That it’s an export tax rather than an import tax. And also seem to be unaware that oil, for example, isn’t sold on the global commodity exchanges.

Oh he’s doubtless crowing about how Trump is showing it to the libs. Whatever happened to him? He used to post frequently and I haven’t seen him post for months. Is he still around?
He posts on the Swansea Independent site.

Well what a surprise retaliatory tariffs. Increased Protectionism elsewhere.

To protect a few jobs you lose 100’s of thousands of other jobs.

If you were to instigate something like this successfully it would need to have broad reach eg Russian aggression and with that we take a hit but with the understanding it has wider impacts that are more important.

This is egotistical nonsense that will cause an economic slump and a potential massive global recession.

All the maga muppets will be distracted by identity politics and anti immigration rhetoric.

Not a good time. I’m really glad we didn’t bet the house on a trade deal with States in 2016.
