That tackle

Deserves a thread of its own, as good as a goal, if Joe hadn't made that goal saving tackle we'd be right in the shit today with results elsewhere. Paid back every penny of his 12 month contract. God bless you Joe Allen 🙏
Paid back 12 months of his contract....Yes.

Hopefully some don't get carried away and see it as a trigger for a new 12 month contract.

Hell of a tackle and the timing was spot on 👍

If he would lower his supposedly 12.5K a week wages to say 6K with a player/coach role I’d be up for seeing another year out of him, having these experienced players around will help.

Does he want to do coaching? If he does then maybe it's time to get him involved somewhere but we need a squad that has players who are able to play regularly and not bit parts when needed.

Our experienced players need to be 28-31 and not 35-37 as Allen and Naughton would be next season.

Great tackle but was it not him that left the runner on his own completely to make the chance?

His assist for Vips equaliser last week wasn't bad, either.

Even with his injury record of late he's worth keeping compared to Fulton.

That's what I thought at the time, but I read someone else say it was Key (which wouldn't surprise me). Might have to put the hazmat suit on and watch the 'highlights' to see for myself.

Ok, so it was kinda both of them. They both thought each other was covering that run so nobody did. Key just stood there defeated and Joe sprinted in to make a very high risk challenge to save the day, so I don't think we can take too much away from him on that one.

Integral member of our winning quorum and the last remaining shred to our winning Way, our unique Swansea edge.

And as it seems our new owners and best-in-class recruitment efforts are geared up to unearthing more global young gems to play our possession-led high tekkers game, Joey is a mainstay - off and on the pitch.

Also a second mistimed and he’d be getting serious pelters. Necessary, but so high risk. I’m glad he was there, but we need someone else to be there, and elsewhere next year.
