• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Santos reminds me of Mike Tyson. Same build, same ability to mark a fast winger, i.e. none.
Another dud acquisition, to list alongside Idah.

Santos looked what he is, not good enough for league 1.

We are in a fair bit of trouble now. Can’t score, luck in defence seems to have run out, and league 1 or worse players sprinkled all over the team. The only saving grace is most of the teams we’ve played look the same in terms of quality, but they can seem to score and defend. We are desperate for a win from somewhere. Hope this guy can pull a rabbit from his hat.

Thats the first time I have seen Sanntos and I would like to think it was the last - he was beaten for pace in his first involvement and then the Sky commentator referenced he was down on his haunches

There are a lot of meh signings we made this summer but they keep being defended

It was a superb window though 🙈.

I had reservations at the time but kept getting called out for being negative and making trouble for the club.
Its a cluster fuck and we need proper football men in place and not commercial minded Gorringe and Dimi who controlled on line betting. Take a step back and take that on board 🫣

He doesn't wear a hat which is a sign of his lack of experience.

Any appointment is a stab in the dark, we could have gone Rodgers and there would be no guarantee that he could turn things around.

It's all about getting confidence into the group now.

Yes, I know, I've been posting that all appointments are a gamble all week.
However, it has to be acknowledged that some appointments are more of a gamble than others...

Take away the schoolboy errors in yesterday's match at Ashton Gate I thought we were well in the game, as we were at Preston, and when I look at the 4th position Bristol hold in the table, I think to myself. Really! All we need now is a head coach who can organise a defence and select eleven players to play as a team and wide players to stretch the opposition to cross the ball into the mixer instead of hitting the first opponent. Simples!

If Matos plays similar to Klopp then we can expect inverted "wingers".
It might suit players like Eom,Ronald and Benson more, players who prefer the ball to feet.

That's what's most frustrating. As poor as we.have been it has been down to us taking so many wrong options or giving possession away so cheaply.
Let's hope it was down to training and tactics which can change.
If it's more down to the players it's going to be an even longer more of the same.

I'll give him benefit of the doubt. For now. He is coming off a bad injury and he was good in pre season until his injury. He was left at the back while Burgess roamed up front yesterday. He will never be a quick fast player. But more physical presence. Why he came on for Smith who is a quick player and different position is crazy.
