• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

The knives will be out in Jan though if there are no signs of improvement, particularly because there’s pretty much zero evidence of his managerial ability…
He'll need a bit more time than 6 weeks I'd say!

Swansea are thought to have spoken to a handful of potential bosses since Sheehan's exit, but former head coach Russell Martin was not among them.

Martin was interested in returning to Wales, but Swansea's hierarchy opted against speaking to the former Southampton and Rangers boss.
Perhaps those who seem obsessed by the bloke (for & against) can just stop mentioning him now or just start yet another thread about him so that I can ignore it (again)

Posters don’t half think up nonsense scenarios in their heads aye 🤣

Worst part is there’s plenty on here who will read something like that and take it gospel and will repeat it, then the next one repeats it and so on. The world is literally nuts with the advent of social media.
So why do you think they went for VM then ?

I wonder why the Swans haven’t announced it yet?
Work permit?

This is really unhelpful, and will only encourage the incessantly unhappy to pile onto him like they did with Sheehan.

He's not even taken a training session yet. Let's give the guy a bloody chance for Christ's sake.
Not blaming him. We obviously have inept clueless people running the club. Happy to take the plaudits for celebrity investors and ‘master stroke’ transfers, but absolutely nada when the going gets tough.
