The Brits Tonight

Thought Myles Smith was class.
Teddy Swims also. Trouble is you have to sit through a lot of dross(imho), before you get to the good stuff.
On a side note R&B singer Angie Stone was killed in a car accident yesterday aged 63. RIP.

Probably the biggest pile of wank to be on telly since telly’s were invented.
Well its probably a homage to the very 1st Brits (1989) when Sam Fox and Mick Fleetwood presented.(LIke who thought of that combo for a start? Shes 5 ft 1 and he was 6ft 7) Its one of the most comical live events I ever watched. I guess they started as they meant to go on.

It’s really tough when there’s something on the telly that you don’t want to watch. If only there was the option to have another telly in a different room, or an option to watch something else on a laptop or tablet or phone.

Life’s a bitch sometimes.

Init! Honest to god we have four tv's in the house and just me and the wife living here now. Madness.

It’s a show that really emphasises have much you have aged.

There was a time I’d know every act and I’d enjoy it.

It also falls into the category of “it was better back in the day”

The third sentence is an outcome of the first sentence.

Four here too. Living room, kitchen, bedroom, upstairs office. The last three are mostly used for sport that I’m not allowed to watch in the living room.

I remember that but I don’t think it was the first one.

The BRIT Awards (often simply called the BRITs) are the British Phonographic Industry's annual popular music awards. The name was originally a shortened form of "British", "Britain", or "Britannia" (in the early days the awards were sponsored by Britannia Music Club), but subsequently became a backronym for British Record Industry Trusts Show.[2] The awards were first held in 1977 and originated as an annual event in 1982 under the auspices of the British record industry's trade association, the BPI. In 1989, they were renamed The BRIT Awards.[3] Mastercard has been the long-term sponsor of the event.[4] In addition, an equivalent awards ceremony for classical music, called the Classic BRIT Awards, was held annually between 2000 and 2013, before being revived in 2018 but has not been held since.

I think that paragraph explains my memory. They had certainly neverbeen on tv.

At the risk of being argumentative, it wasn’t the first time they were televised either. Wiki says they were on the BBC from 1985 to 1992. ITV from 1993 and still.
