Don't hear many of the pro Brexiters coming on here to tell us how wrong those articles are?

I think they prefer safety in numbers...

The thing I find bizarre is that the Scottish Fishermen’s Federation campaigned hard for Brexit and now they’re complaining that it’s ruined their industry.

They should have considered that a leave vote would trigger opening a can of worms over which they had no control.

I was watching a programme about the Cornish fishing industry.
Those with a bit of a head on them have explored new markets and are doing well.
There was even one restaurant owner in Newquay that shut his restaurant and leased the outside area to a handful of "pop up " takeaway units.
The result was extra revenue for him and more demand for fish from the fishermen.

Wonder what kind of deal the Scottish fishing industry get when Scotland join the EU in a few years time

And this is what she said last year

She got what she wanted

In case anyone thinks I've posted the same link twice in the original post, the second one is a different article, highlighting how Brexit is affecting the wine trade. Sorry, boys and girls, your tipple will be costing more soon.

Do the lefties on here like me think Starmer got his tactics wrong in voting for Boris's great Brexit deal? I think Labour should have abstained and made sure the Tories own this sh*tshow completely.

Plaid voted against it!

Maybe she shouldn't have voted to Leave then and also spouted off about it in the press. She spent 4 years supporting the mind numbingly stupid project and is now crying over the inevitable.

I don't know how to feel about people like this. On the one hand, I'm annoyed that they were daft enough to be sucked in by the lies and had a role in screwing over the country. On the other, if they are now understanding the reality they deserve a chance to change their views. And of course it's not nice to see people struggling, even if it is of their own making.

I agree. I think Starmer should focus for a year or two on highlighting all the drawbacks and lack of benefits of Brexit (and they will continue to escalate), then really give people like this woman a chance to change their minds by comitting Labour to applying for re-entry if re-elected.

It's really difficult to get your head around people like her. I'd like to see a list of the things she thinks will benefit her grandchildren.
