Have been absolutely rubbish. The worst international event I can remember.

And nothing to do with the Saes getting to the semis, I can see them shithousing the whole thing.

Players haven't had a decent break since Covid, and now FIFA want to shove an expanded Club World Cup into the schedule. They're all knackered. Enough is enough. There should be fewer games, not more. At Club and International level.

Put that alongside the current trend of insanely boring tactical approaches borne out of statistical analysis at International level (and increasingly at club level too) and you've got the recipe for what we've been seeing lately.

There's been some great games played

If/when England lose the final on pens ,it'll be the best tournament I've seen since they lost the last one. And probably the funniest.

There have been 48 games played so far. There have been some good ones, definitely, but surely not many you could seriously call great. I think the standard has generally been below par.

Turkey v Netherlands was a fun watch, if not exactly a technically brilliant game.

Spain v Netherlands could be a good final to watch for the neutral (as long as the Netherlands don't decide to try and kick Spain out of the game rather than play football, like they did in 2010), but we're not that lucky. It will be France v England and it will probably by an awful watch.

Spain v France was a cracker first half, but then Spain came out 2nd half determined not to concede an equaliser it seemed, poor second half was the result Spain are happy though.

Well, we certainly had a great game tonight. France played well but Spain were better.

Last night was a good game - on a different plane to the one that will see the two teams playing tonight

I thought that goals aside the France Spain game was as rubbish as most of the others. We’ve been calibrated in to believing the crap football is good to watch.

Can't make up my mind wether I want em to lose tonight or on pens Sunday. Case of how hard do I wanna laugh.

The Dutch have looked good in patches and I think that it could be painful, but Engo may well click. They know they have the better players.

I think they'll win it. Have done since they spawned their way past Serbia (the only game they've won in 90 mins, despite having the easiest ride possible). That sort of luck carries you all the way, the spawny shithouses.
