• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

I'll never forgive Cooper for bottling it at theirs in 2020 (?) - at the back they were ageing, leggy, had nothing left in the last 20 and Brewster champing at the bit to make his debut. That's right Steve, a draw is fine, sit down Rhian...

It could be really on this season - absolutely no pressure on us (derby wise anyway), with a 3 goal home leg advantage. And if Mick McNowhere is miraculously still there, well, say no more. In all probability though a new manager will be in place, but any bounce will be long gone, and it'll take more than one window to fix that lot. An Everest full in fact.

Rhian Brewster made his debut in that match against Cardiff in January 2020., and played the full 90+ minutes.
Thank you LR. Who am I thinking of - someone on the bench that could have made the difference, but didn't - or did we just sit back? Apologies Mr Cooper (through gritted teeth...!).

Edit: Senior moment there. I remember now - my view at the time was he should have held him back for the last 30 odd mins. Christ memory plays tricks eh. Time for a lie down...

Not to be a Debbie Downer, but we all thought we were nailed on to be the first to do the double last season, then we had one of our non-performances and handed them 3 points.

Fairly sure we'll manage more than one shot on target in the next one, barring something crazy like an early red card.

You're right though. We'd be more likely to do it if we'd just won at theirs. By the time we play them again they may not be an absolute shower, as Terry-Thomas would inevitably describe them.

When nobody has ever done it, it just shows how difficult it is. They will fight tooth and nail. I thought we would do it in our promotion season with Brenno, but again we hardly fired a shot in anger. We should have done by winning with Laudrup at their piggery before the Monkerama took hold but he pandered to Michu and again, we hardly raised a whimper. We were in a different universe then and still couldn't manage it.

So, I am fully expecting there's no chance, but at least there's only one team that can do it and, after the first game that's all you can ask.

I tell you what, that's one game I cannot wait for. All the pressure on them shirley.

Wouldn't surprise me if their "players" down tools tomorrow night.

What tools would those be?

Well there's a fair few sledges in there.

True, plus a number of spanners

Did you see Morrison at that corner fixing his bun. Embarrassing. Harry Gregg would have been brilliant managing all those pony tails and buns.

No, I missed that - fortunately. Yes, I think a set of garden shears would have been brought into play.

I will confess to taking a peek at "the dark side" yesterday (god knows why) - what a weird place. There is some rare common sense, but most seem proud of their set piece play and physicality, and not little but zero else. It's either denial, ignorance or both. I mean we all support our teams no matter what, but most of us recognise good when we see it. The decent Cardiff fans I know hate the playing style, and they are the ones I almost feel sorry for.
