• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

The glut of contract worries facing Swansea City

When players don't want to sign contracts that the club can afford there's not much to do no matter how many times someone says "just get it done". The club needs to look after itself, and the players need to look after themselves, and that won't always line up to having everyone locked down with 2-3 years left to run at all times. Trigger Wood's existing extension to take any pressure off and decide if Latibeaudiere is worth senior player wages (he's not). If Manning and Piroe think other clubs out there will pay them more to do the same job then that's a decision they're entitled to make, no one can make them sign anything to keep them here/get the club a bigger fee. Ntcham's probably on an inflated wage already, and Paterson got a pay rise just the other day.

I doubt many Championship clubs are reaching the end of the season without a similar list of concerns, either because loan players are leaving or their stars see futures elsewhere. Nature of the beast at this level.
