• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Took one look at the photo of the guy who wrote the article and closed the link.

The more I hear about those two since they resurfaced the more I dislike them. I agree with the firestarter.

Does that say more about them or more about you?

For clarity I'm VERY judgemental myself.

They had a few good tunes back in the day, I've got their greatest hits CD , but that's as far as it goes. To get ripped off for hundreds if not thousands of pounds by a bunch of chancers to go and see them next year, people must be out of their tiny minds.

Would you read a review of your local steakhouse written by a vegan?

You're comparing apples to oranges.

What I meant to with less elegance was that we should try to view things less subjectively...and yes I'm a hypocrite but I'm trying to do better.

I'm quite liberal with me views and found a deep interest in spiritualism a while back, I'm pretty comfortable with the way I look at things.

Not sure I'm really comparing anything, just making an observation.

OK. Thank you, but I must ask why is this guy a vegan in a steakhouse?

In all honesty I like some of their stuff, but I couldn't careless whether they get back together, Noel's Flying Birds produce some decent stuff to, but I wouldn't bother trying to get tickets to see either, it'll all be on YouTube at some point at least then I can select what I want to listen to and turn it off and on when I want, probably take weeks for me to watch it all.

Manics were better educated
The Manics are fine band, a fantastic band in fact. Intellectual, radical, exciting (certainly Richey era) but I can’t be dealing with this kind of sanctimonious, pseudo intellectual guardian nonsense.

Oasis were a great band, they were. Just because they’re popular and they’re not articulate with a lot of derivative material doesn’t make them rubbish. They produced some great material just like the manics.
