• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Not sure when it started but Gary Martin was running it when I joined and I continued through Dai Smith's tenure and Jim White's until there was one poster who really pissed me off so I left. Pego did a blog called "Dodging the Arrows" and I did one called "Severn Aside" when I lived in Shropshire very near the River Severn.

Probably Haydn Eames
No, I knew Haydn quite well back in the day and found him hilarious rather than annoying although I do confess to deliberately avoiding him a couple of times when I was close to bumping into him in the West Stand if I wasn't in the right mood for locking horns with him! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Funny how he didn’t spot you with his binoculars.

Here's a couple of Guestbook related photographs.

In this one, taken at Sabadell in July 2009, Pegojack is the bald geezer in the middle of the picture and the lad in the Swans kit and Barca cap is my son, Ed, who was 11 at the time. In the back row, Dai Smith is the one in the black shirt with his wife on his right. The guy peeping over Pego's head is the legendary poster known at that time as Richard of Warwick with his wife Alison of Warwick.

This one is of Jim White and his wife at the Napoli away game in Feb 2014

Not joking but I've got a feeling his name was actually Andrew something. 😂

Reckon Andrew Maesteg then - hates the Swans, rarely had a good thing to say about anything, players or coaches.

Either that, or it was me 😂
