• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler
    Owner, jackarmy.net

Hell of a catch that from famous cricketing Welshman Jake Ball from AberMansfield.

The way I look at it is, if it encourages young kids to start playing cricket then it’s a no-brainer. Look at how the England Women football team has brought some excitement to youngsters everywhere.

100%, that'll fall on deaf yrs to the Test Cricket purists on here, can't beat 5 days of Cricket mun, although England rarely last past 2,1/2 days at most

5 days sitting on their arses slurping in-between snoring

As Welsh men and women we should support anything with Welsh in front of a team, ECB has poisoned minds on here, 😡😂😂

No.

I’ll support any Welsh man or woman in sport but this team is absolutely nothing to do with being Welsh. It’s a bunch of people playing in Cardiff and that ends any pretence of Welshness.

Right.

Cricket is a difficult sport with regards generating income. The county championship is generally loss making and it is a necessity to prop up competitions such as this with ones like the hundred.

I get it, but it’s crap. I’m finding it really difficult to engage with welsh fire, a team representing Glamorgan, Somerset and Gloucestershire that contains no welsh or indeed Glamorgan players. I wonder how Somerset and Gloucestershire fans feel about the travel and expense to watch their local team in the hundred, welsh fire.

You’ll see me at far more Glamorgan games I think it’s fair to say!

At the end of the day, it’s cricket of sorts, l get that, but ld much rather watch that that the normal shit that’s broadcast of an evening, l usual get home half 5 to 6 and it’s just warming up to the start etc and it suits me, Welsh Fire been extremely disappointing, Duckett is excellent Sodhi bowled superbly last night, he’s decent with the bat as well, can’t understand as to why he and Pretorius don’t bat up the order, both are decent hitters of the ball with their long levers, l think they should as last night they batted for at least 70 balls under a run a ball, yet Lyth came in for the chargers and was hitting boundaries from the off, ld rather see the hitters opening in this format.

I’ve just spent an hour or so watching tonight’s game. It’s entertaining enough but apart from being vaguely aware that it was at Lord’s it dawned on me that I had no idea which two “teams” were playing.

You'll love The 6IXTY on BT Sport then!
A 60 ball thrash with boundary's you'd fit on a postage stamp!

It's not cricket in my book, it's literally baseball 😑

What the hell is the 6ixty? This is a joke right? Your winding us up yes? I am quite gullible. At 14 years old I spent 25 minutes looking for green swordfish with legs on in the freezer at my first job. B***ards!
