• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

There’s a few Chalkys vids on their Facebook group.

Is one of them Keith Morgan. Mogs as we called him in school.

I see on facebook he calls himself something Karrot, wondered where the Karrot came from, if he's one then that explains it.

Yes Pete.

I could we’ll get misremembering the Thin Lizzy thing, I’ve seen the bass player Andy play in tons of different covers bands I think, and I’ve seen the drummer in the Pollen Count, they are superb.

The Pollen Count are brilliant.

Watch this all the way through its f*cking outstanding.

Darren,
Did one of the band, possibly the drummer live in Albion Road before moving to Frsnce, possibly Grenoble with his wife and family?

I was just talking to the lead singer from Sycamore Crescent he said his mother knows your old man P.

Wouldn’t be surprised, the old man grew up in Alpha Place before moving to Albion Road and he sen5 a lot of t8me up the rugby club before covid struck.

Thinking back, was the drummer Brian and did he have sandy to ginger colour hair? Gareth was married to Alison and I think the son eventually moved in to the house? They had a big shed in the back where they practised.

Here’s a track.

Quite psychedelic that, reminiscent of '60's music.
Definitely strong hints of Bowie
