Have you ever woken up, and think.. Jesus I am absolutely ferked today..?

Well this was one of those days, Not that I'm depressed or nothing, you just end up doing nothing, whatever you try to instigate, your partner says no..

And you end up drinking, and then after all that, it turns out to be one of the most boring days in your life.

Be glad you did wake up
Think of those who got tired
What they wouldn’t give to be around
Some people go before they’re ready

Make someone smile.
Ring someone you havent spoken to for a while.
Go for a walk in the rain, make it fun, splash in a few puddles.
Do a job you've been putting off for ages.
The footy is on this avvy.
Make the most of your time, trust me I've seen too many gone before their time.
Have great day matey🙂👍

Well said sir.
Having suffered enough personal pain last few years, I can only endorse those comments, no matter how tough things are.

Life is what you make it, don’t let it drag you down. If you find yourselves with gaps in your life then set a plan and stick to it. It will be difficult at times to plan something on the spot, but having an idea for tomorrow or day after is much less pressurised. Have a Google, there is lots of material available which prepare folk for retirement, this will provide some inspiration for you.

I wake up every day and my first thought is go back to sleep or do something stupid. I then remember that my cousin did something stupid and that I have an amazing wife and child.

Depression is great fun.

Spot on Coops. Trust me, when you get to 70 you don't feel any different from the way you felt physically the day before but it does tend to focus your mind on how much you might have left and it makes you that little bit more careful to make sure you make the most of it, even in little ways such as some of those that Jack2jack mentioned like phoning someone. One of my plans for the next couple of years is to have lunch with some of the people I've been in bands with starting with a guy who lives in Llandudno Junction that I was in a band with when I was still in school in the 1960s and we've just about stayed in touch over all those years. 🎹🎸🎶🥁🎵🎤🍺🍕🍟🍸☕

There’s a bit of a reshuffle going on in work which set me thinking this afternoon about retirement and what it would bring. My old man finished at 58 and he considers that a year or two too late based on the adventures he has been able to accomplish since (and I appreciate that not everyone can take that choice). The point being that he had a plan of things to keep him busy and he hasn’t looked back since.

Anyway, back to work tomorrow am.

Never be embarrassed for reaching out. It’s the best thing you can do
