They asked 1000 people 🤣🤣. Everyone knows it’s been true for at least 20 years, but it should read “The Premier League is the no 1 sport in Wales…the plastic sheepshaggers’

I particularly liked this stolen from elsewhere

I see they conducted a similar survey to determine if the leek was still the national vegetable of wales or if this should be reclassified

INDEPENDENT RESEARCH REVEALS POTATO IS THE MOST POPULAR VEGITABLE IN WALES

The potato has been confirmed as the number one veg in Wales following the publication of an independent report by Nielsen, a global leader in audience research.

Potato interest has continued to increase since research in Wales was first conducted in 1586. However, for the first time, the potato is now the number one interest veg in Wales and continues to be the number one cooking veg for children and adults.

Nielsen conducted the research in Wales during April 2022 using standard methodologies on behalf of DEFRA. The research is conducted every two years and provides an accurate assessment of Welsh vegetables through a nationally representative sample of the 18+ population based on age, gender and region.

The research also shows that interest in the Cymru international dauphinoise continues to grow, with a notable increase in mash and chip interest that has doubled since 2016.

Don't think this is new really. School in the 60 and 70s most people preferred Football to Rugger. Amateur Sports teams in football far outnumbered rugby teams then and probably always have.

It's not at all possible to like both then?

Indeed Dick. Although with Pivac-19 and Mr Process at the helm of each, never mind the WRU/Bargoed Bob, and Jakey 'transfers' Silverstein/Julian 'chuckles' Winter behind them, it could be a rough time ahead. I might switch to Darts.

Snooker I'm enjoying watching.
Can't play it, don't understand all the rules but it's less "playground" than the 2 other sports mentioned here.

Drinking alcohol is the number 1 pastime in Wales...

And that's why we've got a nation of obese men & women with heart problems.

Of course it is.
I don't drink, carry no extra pounds, eat healthy and exercise evey day, but heart disease runs in my family, I'm giving myself my best shot at living as many years as I can, sadly most on this planet couldn't give a toss ...

Who cares? Apart from those that were roughed up by the nasty rugger buggers, or those who struggle to like more than one primary sport. Everything is about causing divides these days innit. Sport, politics, religion, music and on and on.

My sport is more popular than yours, grown men mostly as well. But I suppose it makes them feel special on the internet

I love both personally, but the Swans are numero uno.

I get down to watch the Dragons as much as I can, do Scotland/Ireland annualy with the wales rugby team, and travel home and away watching Wales football, although couldn't do Poland this week. Give me a Swans win above any of the above though when it comes to the result.
