Kinda relieved that shit show is over.
Bring on the Norwich game, jesus I've missed watching us. Club v country? No contest for me.

True, but we might as well have tried it.

Don't think the players had anything in the tank. Teamwork was missing so energy levels dropped.

Indeed. Freezing cold November/December nights are for watching shit nil-nil draws against the likes of Rotherham and Wigan, not watching International football taking place in 30+ degree heat.

Has any side in the world cup had less efforts on goal than us?
Every game felt like a "try not to lose" than a "lets go for the win" even against USA and Iran

Our squad selection, team selection and tactics made very poor use of the options available and sadly it all went pretty much exactly how I expected it to with Rob Page and his "loyalty" approach.

If the FAW leave him in charge for the next four years it will be like seeing the damage that Monk did to the Swans team and style of play all over again

I won’t separate the two, as we don’t play at the same time as each other, focus is on one or t’other of who is playing.

Shots on target:

v USA - 3
v Iran - 3
v England - 1

7 shots on target over 3 games. :?

Defence coaching doing wonders for the game. Corners - 98% ineffective, set pieces the same and throw ins are just a laugh. It’s perfectly normal now to accept the goal that has bounced off 2 or 3 players before finishing up in the net.

Denmark 1 point, 1 goal and bottom of a group with Tunisia and Australia in it.

And the England one was by Maguire.

I am certain that you feel that with a competent manager we would have done better.

Possibly, but not much better if I'm honest. A better manager may have been able to motivate the team to TRY harder, be more positive and at least put in the sort of 110% effort we've seen from Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Morocco, Senegal, Japan, Australia, etc, when up against the bigger teams but I'm not entirely convinced we've got the calibre of players needed at the moment either physically or mentally.

Purposely kept off this thread last night, glad i did. The usual nonsense from silly people.

Another rebuilding job, but not as big as what Tosh and Flynn had to do. We can probably write off the next Euro qualification, and target the next World Cup.

Never mind, we are still Welsh and we go again.
