• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Oh yes understand that but it’s the 3 days rest for about six games and the extra amount of running they are doing.
To be honest, we looked quite unfit under Sheehan so the festive period has probably done them the world of good. Like a mini pre-season in mid-season. The only other real pinch point now is at Easter, the fixture list settles down for a bit until then.

Our high tempo pressing is impressive, and certainly gained us 3 pts against wba.
But to sustain that level will eventually take its toll on the players, just like it did with Leeds and Bielsa’s similar pressing style of play.
So replacements from the squad will be paramount, in the run in of a long season, especially with injuries and suspensions.

Spot on. The break for the Cup game will be welcome.

For me, the improvement has to do with three elements:

1. The size of the squad: we now have bench full with players capable of keeping our momentum going .

2. Even more important- The way VM uses the bench. We are not leggy anymore and combined with good press we get results. the best evidence is WBA post match interview, mentioning the fact that we could inject new players to the game while he could not, as a huge factor.

3. The attitude - VM has been taking about it since his first day at the club, and you can see the change, you can see more commitment, players waving hands and driving there teammates to help, the change is noticeable even in the goals celebrations.
