• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

Leicester will probably get him as a few places have reported they are preparing a bid. If that is the case though then they seem to have overplayed their hand slightly by trying to drum up a bidding war.

A coincidence this report reaches the media immediately after we have publicly started looking at other targets?
I doubt it

Going back to our old ways it seems, with last minute or panic buys, though I appreciate that we have done some early business, so I’ll give the new owners the benefit of the doubt.
We’ve known all summer that we’re week in the striker department, why not get the business done early?
We’ll make a signing, and the next thing you know, the club are making a statement saying that it’ll take the player 10 games or so to get upto speed, fitness and adapting to how we play. That’ll be nearly 1/4 season gone.
It’s easy to get a bit down about it because we’ve had so many poor windows in recent years. In defence of the club, every man and his dog are looking for strikers. Even Ipswich haven’t been able to get one in yet and they can offer silly money on fees and wages.

I don’t think the window closing nearly a month after the season starts does anyone any favours.
