• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Went public today having won 184 million. Why on earth would you jeopardise your families security by telling every fcker.?
Seemed like a nice couple. Strange decision that tho.

Do the winners who don’t go public get found out?
Can’t say I’ve heard of it happening. But if you financially helped out friends and family so they didn’t have to worry about money again, surely word would get out.

Word would of course get out, but shirley not to the extent of the whole world knowing.
Bonkers decision.

How do you write a begging letter?

Yeah, if I won that amount I’d keep writing the begging letters.

Was discussing this with Er indoors earlier. Congratulations to them, but I think they’ve lost the plot going public, it’s something I’d never do. There are plenty of nasty gangsters out there who wouldn’t think twice about trying to extract money out of them, the security of loved ones would be a real concern. Better to say nowt, and let on you’d won a couple of hundred thousand or something and get on with things. It’s either that, or move away to somewhere where you wouldn't stand out and try to blend in - easier said than done.

I’d go public and tell everyone Max was my brother and when he’s held for ransom I wouldn’t cough up.
Mind you they’d probably have had enough of him after two days and bring the prick back.

The problem is that everyone in the financial sector and real estate know that the papers will pay good money if you pass the information on. You suddenly have a large amount of cash and start spending it...someone will tell for cash.

Bonkers decision, I don't seeany benefit of disclosing the win.

I wouldn't even tell my family initially. Not even my wife as it'd kill her to have to keep that secret, and once she told the offspring then every fecker would soon know.

I'd prefer it if 184 people had won a million each. But that's the champagne socialism that I can't keep bottled up.
