Someone might have been there and brings back memories.

I couldn't get a ticket

Just look at the pitch especially the centre circle. :)

I watched that from start to finish when it came up on my feed about two years ago. I listened to the game by updates on Radio Wales(from dorm room in Uni). I dont smoke but I was smoking cigars that night. That was the end of " The Fall". From Div 1 to Div 4 in 4 seasons and then finally something to celebrate.
Peter Guthrie was largeley terrible but in that game he made up for every single howler. He was immense.

Yes, came down for the first leg, and the same as you listened to the second leg on Radio Wales.

It was exam time but I went back to Swansea from Nottingham for The Darlington game (when we snuck into the play offs) The Rotherham game AND the Torquay game. Its no wonder I failed nearly all my 1st year exams.

And yes I used to get Radio Wales in Nottingham. You can get it all the way up the M25 as it goes, well you could. Its different now with digital radio.

Yes did the Rotherham home game as well, good old 882MW even though had to do a bit of angle changing to get a good reception.

Kids today don't know they're born :D

Clubcall as well (n) Long call to be told nothing.

0898 121 639(later changed to 0891) Phoned it so many times I will never forget it. - I used to phone from work. I was lucky not to get sacked

I listened to a whole game at bashley in the cup on club call...😱

Also back then the only way getting club info was getting Wales on Sunday delivered

Were you the bill payer then? ;)

That's why you changed your userid (y)

I actually changed it because I could carry it over to this platform and retrieve the forgotten password. Was easier just to create a new user account

Went there twice that season, failed to get in on both occasions.
We were banned from the league game due to crowd trouble the previous season, watched the league game from a tree outside the ground, one nil to the Swans if my memory is correct.
Heard the final whistle of the playoff game on the radio as we crossed the Severn bridge back to Wales.

Funnily enough, I was telling my father about this video a couple of weeks ago.
We were on holidays in Salou for that 2nd leg, it was the season before I started following the Swans. I was well into my football at the time and remember that holiday for trying to convince my parents to buy me the Euro 88 sticker album but got knocked back because it was in Spanish. I also remember the walk into Salou Centre each day and walking past a shop that had a Juventus top with Rush 9 on the back and hoping that they would buy it for me.

It's quite strange thinking back that as an 8 yr old I was totally unaware of the importance of a game going on with a club that would eventually have a massive part in my life. I still think about that Juventus top on a weekly basis though 🤣
