Regardless of personal opinions, it’s time to move on. You can argue this has been a disastrous window, and there’s certainly truth in that. However, as someone pointed out earlier, if you assessed this transfer window purely in terms of incomings and outgoings, without the threat of a relegation battle, it might actually be seen as a fairly successful one.

We have every right to be frustrated with how the club is being run, but for now, we need to set that aside. It’s time to get behind the team again, regardless of recent events. I’d rather support a struggling side than let frustration turn into anger/spite whilst taking some twisted pride in seeing them go down. When/if we secure safety at the end of the season, that’s the time for shouting and protesting.

For now, let’s move on and back the team and revisit this come May.

Understand the sentiment, don't necessarily agree with it.

Passive behaviour like this will see the club in exactly the same position this time next year, just in league one.

Season tickets sales are dwindling, more and more empty seats at homes games. There is an argument that if things aren't addressed as soon as possible it is going to be too late.

As far as this window being fairy successful, I find that fairly amusing.

I think perhaps if we'd kept Abdulai even as a backup option instead of letting him go for a measly £150k then things perhaps wouldn't be perceived so badly. Not that he was a world beater of course.

But as it is from core players who've been available for us we are one down from before Jan 1st. Despite dropping like a stone down the division.

To be fair we never once got to see Abdulai in his preferred CDM position so we never knew if he could hack it in that position or not. I do think though that if the Abdulai bid had come in after the Grimes one was accepted we would have turned it down, surely even Coleman wouldn't be that inept to sell the only senior CDM left in the club?

Right?
👀

Yeah because who would do that leaving a crocked Allen, a terrible Fulton and a Franco in midfield that has played less than 30 games in British football.

Mind you Luke still would have played Abdulai anywhere but where he's supposed to play

Laughably despite it not being his position Abdulai had scored twice for us this season, matching the output of Ronald and bettering Eom's by, err, two.

From what I saw the other night, Abdulai could have been given a go in the number 10 role.

I don’t disagree with any of this, but sitting in a doom and gloom mindset won’t translate well onto the pitch. It’s been a dreadful run, and the pressure on us has dramatically increased.

My only point is that we shouldn’t carry that negativity into the next few crucial games. Creating a toxic atmosphere won’t change our current trajectory, which is ultimately what we all want. Instead, let’s save that frustration for the tail end of the season when there’s little left to play for.

That's like saying the Titanic was a success if you take out the threat of the ice berg.

We are well and truly in a relegation battle because of numerous transfer windows where we end up weaker at the end of them.

There is no way anyone - at the club or not, can seriously spin this window as a success

Perhaps a toxic atmosphere will wake everyone at the club awake. That includes the chairman, manager and players.

Sitting there waving a white flag isn't going to help.

It's quite amusing that we virtually give Abdulai to Orient for peanuts and he starts scoring goals for fun, then Orient attempt to dry bum us when we try to sign one of thiers, football aye...

Someone please tell me we didn’t let Abdulai go for £150k 😫

Unlucky lads, you've comfortably lost another game. Oh well, at least you gave 75%. Never mind, same again next week is it? Have a nice little polite clap as you walk off.

I know, it's incredible.

Not what I meant sorry. I mean negativity going into the game. If it’s shite at the end, call it out as shite, I never pity clamp myself. It’s just not going to help anyone if we don’t get behind them, at the start, over the next few games.
