Time to move on

I don’t disagree with any of this, but sitting in a doom and gloom mindset won’t translate well onto the pitch. It’s been a dreadful run, and the pressure on us has dramatically increased.

My only point is that we shouldn’t carry that negativity into the next few crucial games. Creating a toxic atmosphere won’t change our current trajectory, which is ultimately what we all want. Instead, let’s save that frustration for the tail end of the season when there’s little left to play for.
Yeah, let's all cheer the completely inept Williams and let's all applaud the utterly garbage Fulton, and of course our wonderful owner Coleman .These well paid idiots are only contributing to the downfall of the club i love and supported for over 60 years. And come the next home game if we are still in this rut they are having it both barrels again.

Every time someone does a "Time To Move On" thread after each transfer window, Andy Coleman and the other quims on the board are sitting in their office laughing at us.

You're giving them exactly what they want. They need this in order to keep getting away with what they're doing.

Stop giving them exactly what they want, and keep getting on their backs. Stop accepting it so meekly.

It's quite amusing that we virtually give Abdulai to Orient for peanuts and he starts scoring goals for fun, then Orient attempt to dry bum us when we try to sign one of thiers, football aye...
That’ because there’s a distinct possibility that we could be competing in the same league as Leyton Orient next season!

Yep, sure they read this message board and adjust their strategies accordingly....

I have not once said that they do not deserve the shit after this window or a pass for their piss poor running of the club. But there is an argument to be made for not going into the next few matches with a defeatist and toxic atmosphere. Save it for the end of a match (if the performance is shite) or for the end of the season when there is (hopefully) nothing to play for. Now really is not the time to act this way with the position we find ourselves in.

When is the time to act in this way then?

At the start of next season in the Championship? When people will argue we have new players and a new manager and we need to give them time before we can judge?

At the start of next season in League One? As above but with ambitions of getting promoted again?

This time next year when we are in another relegation battle or "just 6 points off the League One playoffs?"

The fact is, some people will always find a reason why the fans have to play nice, not show their displeasure and not put the pressure on/show the owners up.

As mentioned in the posts above, the end of the season is the time to make our feelings clear, once we know where we stand. Whether we’re safe or relegated, that’s when any protests or frustrations should be voiced, as they won’t directly impact whether we stay in the league or not.

I’m not trying to defend the club or downplay any disappointment. He has repeatedly shown an inadequate understanding of how to run a club and is juggling far too much at once. Whether it’s naivety or arrogance on his part, the damage has been done. Same for Williams, unless he pulls a rabbit out his arse I'm firmly in the out camp.

That said, I’ll still get behind the team 100%. There’s a time to make our feelings known and its not right now.

Completely the wrong approach to take. if noise isn't made now, the chairman, manager and players think what is going on is acceptable.

Agree with getting behind the team from kick off, it's doesn't mean giving them a free ride.

This club has almost gone out of existence on a couple of occasions. I'd like to think our fans would have learnt their lessons by now.

That’s fair enough. I just believe it’s best to save that kind of noise for when the season is wrapping up, and we have a clearer idea of where we stand.

To be clear, I’m not saying they should be let off the hook, far from it. The whole situation has turned into a complete farce. It would just be a shame if we happened to play a small part into our slip into a relegation fight.

They are much more active than you might think. Just like we all post with pseudonyms (well, most do anyway) so do they, on various sites, it doesn't take a great deal to work out when they are. In Jake Silverstein's case he was actually putting his name to stuff for a while.

They'll be laughing their tits off at the gullible fans backing them up, trust me.

I completely get where you’re coming from and probably share most of the frustrations with you about how the club has been run. I’m not saying we shouldn’t be disgruntled, just that there might be a better time for action.

I’d never defend the way the club has been run over the past few years, only a fool would.
