Fifty eight years ago today on June 10th 1967 The Beatles album Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band hit No.1 in the UK, spending 27 weeks at the top of the charts.
Costing £25,000 to make and recorded over 700 hours, it was also the first album to feature printed lyrics on the sleeve.
The sleeve was designed by my friend the legendary pop artist Sir Peter Blake.
