I don't think anyone has ignored the initial question like you claim. Just to make you happy though, yes as far as I'm aware, it would come out of the BBC's pocket, so essentially it would come out of license payers money.
Yes they have, I posted the question at 2.37 pm, it’s taken nearly 6 hours to get back on track. They were too wrapped up in their Trump hatred, to answer a simple question.

It's just plain daft. I cannot, for the life of me understand why they did it.

The Telegraph taking the moral high ground is mildly amusing though...

Good luck trying to sue in the courts here...
Or in the USA where it wasn’t aired at the time and iPlayer isn’t available and you need to prove actual loss when he won the presidency two weeks later. Plus get him in court and watch him dribble and lose.

But of course that’s not the point. Destroy the BBC any way they can is the point. It’ll never get near court, he’s hoping to extort money in settlement which will let the likes of impartial honest Fartage from GB news, spout off here. I hope he’s not going to be on Kuhnssberg or QT again. Oh wait…

The BBC needs serious reform starting by removing all the placemen, but without a BBC, democracy here is done.

Bunch of c***s like Fartage and his ‘patriots’ hate everything about the uk. Supported by gullible fools.

There was no need. The fact no one checked is breathtaking. There was no argument Trump incited the riots, so there was no need for an unnecessary edit. Do people seriously think the de facto CEO and News Director resigning isn’t more than sufficient? When’s Trump going to resign? When he finally gets near telling any truth of any kind?

I wouldn’t be to sure about that, remembering back, personally I’ve seen the clip multiple times on tv, and also the platforms facebook, twitter, and tik tok. Once its shared on the internet, its worldwide, so the argument it wasn’t aired on tv in the USA, is an invalid point.

Not in a court of law it isn’t. Research the burden of proof for a libel suit to succeed in the US. While your at it, explain to me what Trump should be compensated, that is, what was his consequential loss?

If off to do something less ambitious than arguing about this on this thread now, with people that have gone mad. Maybe I’ll explain Norway to my dog or something. Night night.

Calm down mate, and please don’t profess to me as if you are an expert at law, you most probably know as much as I do, which isn’t a lot.

An error of judgement twice?
This wasn’t a common thing in visual media this was done on purpose and it baffles me that you’re trying to defend it.
No one is defending it, just debating the bollocks that it’s attracting. 👍
