• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Results announced. Seven candidates, seven spots up for grabs so no election required.

Chair Andy Godden and supporter director Stuart McDonald stand down after years of service between them.

New board at the link.

Stu Mac is a quality individual who has moved mountains to further the prospects of SCFC. Hope he enjoys a well earned retirement.

Women are superb at Multi-tasking Phil :D

Cath is super human. She has three children and is a full time carer to two of them and yet she seems to have all the time in the world to do pretty much everything she wants - a ver remarkable lady and one it was a pleasure to work with.

My post was not meant in a flippant way, I genuinely have respect for all women who manage to juggle so much in their lives & given what you have just said about Cath I am even more repectful of her.

Apologies if it came across a different way, I had taken it in the way you worded it above!

Cheers Phil, thought I may have come across the wrong way 👍

I read the official announcement this morning and it is very poorly worded

Worth adding here that Andy Godden, Stuart MacDonald and Cath Dyer all stood down because they did not stand for election (through their own free choice) - the wording of the release suggests they were not elected.

It's now a strange Trust board as I am not sure how many of them have actually been elected by way of a formal voting election which just shows how hard it can be to get people to stand.

It will be interesting to see who the board appoint as Supporter Director and also not sure how they made a decision as to which of the new board members would only stand for 1 year, I would have thought that alone should have required an election
