The Swansea City Supporters’ Trust holds Annual Elections for Swans Trust members to have the chance to be elected to the Trust Board. Full board members usually serve for up to a two-year term and are eligible to stand for re-election.
Notice is hereby given that this year there will be up to FIVE vacancies for election to the Trust Board, all of whom will serve for a period of 2 years from the 1st August 2025.
If you would like to put yourself forward to be elected as a Trust Board member, please download and complete this Trust Board Nomination Form 2025 and return it via email to the Trust Secretary paul.barrett@swanstrust.co.uk or by post to our Registered Office on or before Monday 30th June, 2025.
If you are having difficulty in getting the completed Nomination form returned, please get in touch with the Trust Secretary at paul.barrett@swanstrust.co.uk
What you are required to do:
Please include your name and full address on the Trust Board Nomination Form and ensure it is signed and dated. Note that nominations MUST be supported by SIX Swans Trust members who were full Trust Members on or before the 11th June, 2025. If anyone needs help with this process, please let us know.
Please refer to our Board Members Guidelines 2025 and also complete a brief statement about yourself (strictly maximum of 250 words) to accompany your Nomination Form. This will then be circulated to our Trust members in the event of a ballot being required.
Note – following feedback from members over the past couple of years we’ve now compiled a brief Elections Q&A 2025 document which we hope you find useful. If you have any further questions just let us know.
Once completed please return the Nomination Form and personal 250-word statement to the Trust Secretary by email or our registered address on or before Monday 30th June, 2025.
A ballot will be held if more than FIVE members are nominated. Trust members aged 16 and over who held full membership on the 11th June 2025 will be eligible to vote in any subsequent ballot.
If elected you will serve for a period of TWO years from 1st August 2025. The main qualification you will need is enthusiasm & a desire to see the Swans succeed through the Trust working on a wide variety of responsibilities while aiming to represent our members and supporters. No experience is necessary and there is no salary or expenses.
You will be expected to join the monthly Board Meetings which are normally held on the first Monday of each month in Swansea either in person or virtually and actively participate in various other sub-groups, matchday duties, Trust related activities and other responsibilities as appropriate.
You are eligible to stand for election if
* On the 11th June 2025 you were a Swans Trust Member and you are aged 16 or over.
* You are not subject to a disqualification order under the Company Directors Disqualification Act.
* You have not been convicted of an indictable offence.
