Indeed, the Montreux video is excellent but it's strange that it wasn't released until 2008, 22 years after it was recorded on the 1986 Colour of Spring tour and 17 years after the band had disbanded. I also have the 'London 1986' CD from the same tour but in Hammersmith Odeon a couple of months before the Montreux show and that is still one of my favourite live CDs but that wasn't released until 1999 (currently available on Amazon for £115!)

Definitely one of the UKs most underrated bands IMO.

I didn’t know that. Any known reason for the much delayed release?

I don't know for certain but I do know that after the conclusion of the CoS tour, the band were at loggerheads with their label EMI with both parties sueing each other and this came to a head when the band pursued a more experimental musical approach which resulted in the Spirit of Eden album in 1988 which EMI did not consider to be commercially satisfactory. The band had also made it clear that they wouldn't be touring to support the album as most of it had been improvised. Eventually, TT were released from their contract and their final album Laughing Stock was released on Polydor after which, the band split. With TT refusing to play ball with EMI, it would make sense that EMI wouldn't be keen to put any money into releasing live stuff from the CoS tour if the band were not going to help them cash in on it. The live CD was released in 1999 by Voiceprint and the video in 2008 by Eagle Vision so I would assume both releases only saw the light of day by EMI selling the rights to the material.

There's some cracking videos from the German Musikladen TV show. A bit like our OGWT but full shows.

I'm gobsmacked, I've heard this tune on the radio for years, always assumed it was Paul McCartney. Even Mrs J2J thought so, and she knows everything.
As they say every days a school day.🥴
