• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I'm heading to Perth, WA again at the end of the month to visit my wife's relatives, and looking forward to it.

However with pleasure often comes pain and for me that's 16 hours in a Dreamliner there and back.

The entertainment Qantas provide is normally quite extensive but I do like to have some of my own stuff saved on my tablet. I've downloaded the last series of "Peaky Blinders" so that takes care of about 6 hours.

Stuff on BBC is easiest to harvest as you can download it to watch offline, but I don't think you can do the same with ITV, 4 or 5 (correct me if I'm wrong).

So can anyone suggest a decent series? Up for a drama, or travel programmes like Simon Reeve but really anything you care to suggest I'll look into.

Ta, all

Snowfall is one of the best series available on BBC iPlayer , its like peaky blinders but set in 1980 s Los Angeles

Thank you

The Harry Bosch series on Amazon, excellent rendition of the Michael Connelly LA detective novels.
Another outstanding US drama series is The Looming Towers, the story of the rivalry between the FBI and the CIA which overshadowed the 9/11 attack on the Twin Towers. Jeff Daniels is outstanding in it, as is Tahar Rahim.

I'm a Bosch fan but I've not seen much of the TV stuff. The looming Towers sounds good too. My problem is though I need to be able to download stuff onto my tablet to watch offline.

Got given as a pressie the box set of Prison Break watched it repeately on my still working dvd player .

You could try watching it , you will not get the full story over the 14 hour flight thougth . I enjoed the full story , the box set was 26 discs in total , watched everyone of them , it was a good well made TV .
