• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

Full tome 4-0 very good game by Swans. Some promising players here

Thanks for your thoughts.

Let's hope a few of the promising lads make the first team.

I could have sworn I saw Liam Smith joined Stockport on loan?

Excellent thread, fair play. This has given me more of a view of the U21's than anything put out by the Swans social media team.

Swansea keeper takes a corner well after being largely a spectator

Does he take a better set piece than Matt Grimes?

I can’t say i have any knowledge of him other than he wore shirt 11 and was named on official Twitter feed as Liam Smith on Academy tweet of line up prior to the game and by stadium announcer.

Looked like he could play at a higher level than U21 as did Mitchell Bates who looked like a man of greater age, experience and calmness.

Thanks for that, for the updates as they happened and also for your time. 👍
Apparently Wyndham wasn’t too pleased as there was not enough passion and bias. 😉

I am lucky that i have the free time now i am retired to get along there, parking is in the main car park and free so no issues for those with access difficulties, free entry to Swans account holder so you don’t even have to have a ST or purchase entry just open up an online account, although i am sure something could be sorted if you didn’t have access to the internet.

If you are unemployed or retired its a couple of hours free entertainment and a chance to meet and have a chat to new people about the game.

It’s a good system the club have put in place and the players quite obviously enjoy the noise of the fans supporting them.

Quite a few of the better U21 players have gone on loan so some of the men playing today were 1st year scholars not even in the U21 SQUAD.

One other thing having sat in the east stand since I don’t know when …no grumpy old deckers whinging about the players or errors made, it is all support as it should be for men at the start of their career.

Smith's move to Stockport fell through late on. Shame as he's too good for u21s and Duff doesn't seem interested. Hope the u21s stick with this shape rather than trying to mirror the first team. Let the creative players express themselves.

Sam Parker's come on massively in the last 6-12 months. The next Connor Roberts up and down the right flank.

Highlights, looked a very good performance apart from the early pass from the keeper ;)

Just checked Joel Cotterill has joined Stockport County on loan and made his debut on the weekend for them
