I started watching this guys videos yonks ago as he did some very interesting videos. He goes under the name 'Bald and Bankrupt' and travels to very odd places in Russia, India and more recently Syria. A bit of an oddball with a penchant for soviet era murals. But nevertheless, it was interesting to see how life flows in a far flung Russian village or an Indian slum.

Anyway, I got curious as to why he was called 'Bald and Bankrupt". So I did some digging and was quite taken aback at what I found. He was cleared on a group rape charge and fled the country not long after his business went under. He was (allegedly) posting on pick up forums on the internet writing stories about picking up young girls in Russia and in quite explicit terms. His own blog carried the same stories but without the explicit content and a completely different narrative. There has been talk of him being a sex tourist which sounds plausible as he is often seen with a younger girl or (girls) in his videos.

He is now being held under suspicion of 'illegal activities' with a young Belorussian girl.

Yeah I do watch him too, took a lot of flak moving out of Ukraine - but I believe he's back there now in Kyiv.

I stopped watching his vligs a couple of years back, but agree that his videos on You Tube were really quite interesting, showing some of the most obscure parts of Russia and ex USSR countries like Georgia or Belarus...I think he ended up with a Belarussian girlfriend about 10 years younger than him, and I believe has been arrested alongside him in Kazakhstan...It helped he had great Russian from his ex wife who was Belarussian as well, but always found him entertaining....I did not know about his dodgy sex trafficking past.
