• Thank you very much | Diolch yn fawr

All at JackArmy.net would like to thank everyone who has played a part on this site over the past 25 years whether that is through writing, contributing, moderating, posting or just visting and reading.

Without any of you the work that has gone into the site would have been pointless and we will always be proud that we built, generated and managed a community that was such a big part of the Swansea City supporting life for so long.

It has been a pleasure to bring to you the site for so long but the time is now right to turn the lights out for the last time but we do it both with a heavy heart and a sense of pride driven by the so many messages received since we announced the closure.

The site will remain here for a period until we archive and mothball it for the last time later this summer but all aspects are in a read only format.

Thank you though for all the memories

    Phil Sumbler

I know it’s not straightforward, but part of me wishes the West would just leave the Middle-East well alone, let them live how they want to live and rule the way that they want to rule. Any intervention clearly doesn’t work there.

It’s overly simplistic and incredibly harsh on those being persecuted by similar regimes all round the world but I’m inclined to agree.

There’s so much nuance and grey when deciding when to intervene and when not to that sometimes burying your head in the sand and doing nothing seems the least worse option in the short, medium and long term.

I appreciate that’s probably a very selfish viewpoint too though.

Each time that I see TV coverage of DJT slowly descending the steps from Air force One or whatever, I have a recurring hope....

It’s not selfish.

The ‘West’ (and it’s actually always America) have absolutely no interest in helping people being persecuted. They are only interested in enriching themselves.

They only intervene where there is oil or rare earth minerals they want and you don’t hear a peep from them when it’s just poor people being slaughtered.

The UN is there for cases where intervention is absolutely necessary.

Apparently persecution doesn't happen in Africa. If it did surely the US would get involved.

Hopefully someone will tie his shoe laces together or gives him a little "unintentional" nudge, wink wink.

Libya has large oil fields - but deep in the African continent so does Nigeria.
Just for scale - USA 55 billion barrels, Libya 47 billion and Nigeria 37 billion
Smurph is 100% correct - the vast majority of Americans cannot recognise anything outside their borders. The general level of educational attainment is appalling - they are a Nation that are as dumb as stumps - run by a small group of morally bankrupt billionaires.

Are Americans generally thick? Well they voted the orange man in, not once, but twice 😒

Welp.. hes just posted on his website that unless they agree terms there will be 'no civilisation left'

Today the world sits the closest to nuclear apocalypse than it has ever done before

Anything could happen when the lunatic’s latest “deadline” expires later. What will happen? Probably nothing.

Hopefully nothing.

Netanyahu will do it if he won't, and then he'll likely follow.. Already bombing railway lines and a petrol plant. Trump is in no danger of war crimes trial as he'll pardon himself (that in itself shows how stupid Americans are) and everyone else of any crimes, plus of course the SC has ruled that presidents can be exonerated for anything they do in their officlal role. There's no way the ICC or UN will hold any sway as the Yanks will ignore it/have a veto.

Got to hope he TACOs with some bullshit, but he seems to have painted himself properly into a corner as regards his stupid ego this time.

Or the tech bros will stop him, looking at Darran's post.
